Groceries, CLIMATE, and Voting

The storms are not coming. They are here.

Daily the weather is national news.

Heat, fire, flood, tornado, and the Hurricane Season is just ramping up.

Daily.

Science told us years ago the CO2 levels we spew would be doing this.

And we elected Trump and minions and Project 2025 who have dismantled emission regulations, taken America out of Climate Agreements and expanded oil and gas developments while suppressing alternative energy options.

Climate change is not only the culprit in our catastrophic weather, but is also the driving force behind war (the Iran War is about oil and China’s resources as much as it is about any nuclear threat) and famine. It will not be too long where we in our air-conditioned isolations will leave our television and computers (but not our phones….Lord knows we can’t leave our phones!) for the streets, not in protest (that should be going on now) but in violent reaction over lack of food, water and jobs.

Climate Change should be the number one issue in this Mid-Term election, in every elected office, from Soil and Water to Senator and Governor.

Number One.

If we can’t get people to see the straight line between their job wages, cost of gasoline, the price of groceries and climate change, perhaps it’s possible somebody can get us to see that severe weather in the daily news is actually something we can do something about by radically reducing CO2 levels?

The storms are not coming. They are here.

We can still fight back.
